New Jointed Vintage Inspired Snowman Cutout Available to Help Cure the Winter Blues & a Quick Winter Update
This past Christmas season was hugely successful, very stressful and pretty chaotic. I am thankful to have been gifted a Cricut machine to help my manufacturing process time get cut down tremendously. The biggest frustration in the last month and a half has been dealing with printing companies. I think I have finally found 'the good place' in terms of where to place orders at to make sure they are properly printed, on the correct paper with the right sizing. It seems like such a simple issue to have, but I can't ship things out to customers that have bad quality. Halloween and Christmas both had their challenges and the biggest overall was hand cutting each and every item. It was the most time consuming element to my process but I am relieved it is one that will hopefully be behind me. I've been looking into what these machines do and so far it's been exciting to see I can create wooden ornaments, wooden centerpieces, complex silhouette designs, some vintage inspired vellum & board stock Halloween lanterns & luminaries & so much more. 2020 is looking to be an exciting year for lots of new items I'll be testing out.
Now that things are back to normal after the Christmas holidays, I've been thinking about creating some new vintage inspired pieces of generic non-Christmas looking snow people. This is the first addition in the new seasonal option added with a cutout set and banner to be added in the next day both here and on my Etsy shop.
I have a lot of exciting things planned so stay tuned! I've been working on lots of Valentines day items for both my online shops and in store that I'm very excited to reveal soon. My challenge to myself in 2020 is to really think outside the box more on these seasonal illustrations and so far I have sketched out some disco Halloween cutouts, jointed animals from space, some new fun pin designs, an out of this world Valentines Day cutout set and some fun dancing Irish folk for March.
I'm excited to showcase my new work this Spring not just on seasonal items but many other non-seasonal items as well. This past December I hit 350+ sales in my Etsy shop, 175+ sales on my main website shop on this domain & 500+ sales in person sales on items at Markets & in local shops. My work has now reached nearly every continent as well. Somehow, I'll figure out a way to make a delivery to Antartica. In 2020, I've been reaching out to more stores both local and abroad and I'm very excited to see what new adventures come my way.
Thank you for following my work and I wish you all the happiest of New Years,
I post all the articles on this blog myself. I will post updates on artwork, new showcases of my work, magazines where I'm showcased and more. Be sure to check back often for new updates. Like my Facebook Page or follow me on Twitter to be kept up to date about new posts.
